But by the third, fourth and fifth levels, it becomes clear that you will need to up the ante a little bit as far as fire power, or else you are destined to join the ranks of the zombies. To find better guns, you need to spend your safe hours, when the zombies aren’t attacking, to go and seek out new weapons. It can be time consuming and will eat into the time you have to fortify your base or to look for survivors, but it definitely pays off when you get the larger guns. In between levels, you will have the opportunity to look at your weapons wall where your character will store the guns he finds. There are several to collect.

Strong Defenses

After every zombie battle, you will have to repair the fort as the creatures will have knocked down or weakened walls. It should be done for at least one hour in between every battle, maybe more depending on how close the last fight was.

Finding Other survivors

Another thing you’ll need to do is find some survivors. It too takes time away from your allotted safe hours to go out and look for them, but it can pay you back in spades, with points, help and even weapons discovery.
